Franchising Can Lead To Unexpected Doors

We would like to share with you a success story about a new franchise owner. This gentleman came to us through a referral as he was looking at small business ownership after working in Corporate America for most of his career. He found himself the last 3-5 years moving from job to job due to restructuring and downsizing.

He felt that he had reached a threshold on the financial end and he wasn't being able to move any further. He decided to work with a professional like myself to help him determine whether or not this would be a good move for him. 

Part of the process that I take my clients through helps me to determine whether or not this is the right move for them. Once it was determined that it was I wanted to focus on a number of things like what he enjoys doing with his life outside of work, his hobbies and more. One of his hobbies was working with horses and likes to be around animals.

We were able to present him several options including some from his industry and an opportunity in the pet space. At first he was hesitant on the pet opportunity and didn't see what the opportunity was and I told him to trust the process. I felt the business model from a financial standpoint from both investment and ROI was going to be most effective for him. 

Long story short, after he spoke to a few franchise owners he was blown away and wanted to learn more. It was important to continue the process and was finally able to go meet the team. In the end he was awarded not only one unit but three within his territory. Both my client and franchisor saw that this was going to be a great fit! This was probably one of the biggest success stories because this was someone coming in thinking I'm just going to follow the path of what I've been doing in my career and now he found himself going into business for himself in an area where he so happy to be in. 

Being able to build something for his family was amazing.
